homeowners. The build takes three weeks, from the wall raise to the final inspection. In addition to building supplies, some fran- chise locations will volunteer their time. This act of paying it forward brings together vet- erans, military families, and their neighbors.
Partnerships
We have joined forces with organizations around the country that provide critical re- sources for veterans. Through these part- nerships, our franchises are building deeper relationships with the military community nationwide. As part of the Veteran's Air- lift Command, we had the hon- or of flying Hershel Woodrow "Woody" Williams who, at the time of this mission, was the last living Medal of Honor recipient from World War II. Williams served in the Battle of Iwo Jima with the 21st Marines, 3d Marine Division. His actions, commitment to his fellow service members, and heroism during battle were recognized on October 5, 1945, when he re- ceived the United States military's highest decoration of valor from Pres- ident Truman. The Window World Para- chute Team, powered by the All Veteran Group, are high flying brand ambassadors that wow crowds across the country through thrilling parachute demonstrations. Mike Elliott, Retired United States Army Golden Knight and president of the team says, "Inspiration is one of many words that come to mind when speaking of Window World Military Ini- tiatives. Our military serves and protects all of us and deserves our most pro- found appreciation, respect, and care - Window World goes above and beyond to make this happen. I am truly honored to be a part of this amazing family."
Culture and Commitment Continues
"As a combat veteran and wounded warrior, I am fortunate to meet and interact with notable companies that support me and my fellow veterans. Many are excellent, yet Window World sets the example for many others to follow," says Jason Redman, Retired Navy SEAL, New York Times bestselling au- thor, speaker, and coach. "They do this with an incredible focus on supporting veterans, creating a culture of patriotism and support within their company, and actionable and consistent giving to amazing programs. They don't just talk the talk; they walk the walk!" Window World's mission to honor Amer- ica's military forces continues to thrive as we expand our programs, events, and initiatives to enrich the lives of our nation's heroes.
