At Window World we believe it is essen- tial to recognize that meeting the needs of those who have given so much on our behalf requires year-round attention. Proud to be known as "America's Exterior Remodeler," we strive to make every day a veterans day. The Window World Military Initiative (WWMI) formally supports our veterans and active service members. This initiative defines our company-wide commitment to honor and serve America's veterans, active military, and military families across our entire system of over 225 locations. Our franchise owners and their employees take great pride in serving the ultimate defend- ers of our freedom: the military. "We are all indebted to our nation's service members and their families," says Window World Chairman and CEO, Tammy Whitworth. "While there is no measure of gratitude to repay veterans for their sacrific- es, Window World strives to honor military families however we can."
A Commitment to Careers
As a Military Friendly employer, we value and recognize the training, character, and discipline veterans bring to our organization and workforce. Across the country, Window World is proud to be a home for veterans, be they employees or entrepreneurs, for over 25 years. "Window World is honored to have so many military veterans working through- out our franchise system, and we'd like to see even more veterans in our ranks," says Jamie McBride, Board Member and WWMI Director. "Military men and women are de- cisive, strategic thinkers, trustworthy, and seasoned team leaders. They are just what we need at Window World." In addition to vast employment opportunities within the Window World system, veterans are uniquely qualified for franchise ownership.
Community Outreach Programs
We are committed to doing everything we can to remind veterans that they are ap- preciated and supported at home. Together, Window World and its franchise owners embrace veterans and their families through various community outreach programs - from donating and installing exterior remodeling products for those in need, to funding veteran-focused platforms need- ing charitable support. The Pups4Patriots program through American Humane is one example. The pro- gram provides free, specially trained service dogs, including rescues, to veterans diag- nosed with post-traumatic stress or trau- matic brain injury. Window World recently gave the program a grant to cover the costs associated with training a service dog. "We are truly grateful for Window World's dedication to helping our veterans manage the invisible wounds of war," says Dr. Robin Ganzert, president and CEO of American Humane. "With their benevolent grant, we have been able to help put a heal- ing leash in the hands of another veteran who will go on to live their life to the fullest." On a local level, Window World fran- chises across the country will participate in Habitat for Humanity Veteran Blitz Builds in their respective communities.
