The Importance of Hiring Veterans

hen I sat down to write !!!!! to spotlight the amazing work being done by the thousands of veterans we have matched with our client companies. But then I realized I didn't need to go further than Orion Talent's own "front door." Our deep military roots run back to our inception in 1991 as a military recruiting !!!!8! understand veterans because so many of our team members are veterans themselves. In fact, vets represent a large portion of our workforce and make an !!!!! )!!*!!0! is truly an excellent case study !!!!!!!

They improve every aspect of the workplace and contribute to competitiveness on the world stage. When I think of these traits, two veterans at Orion Talent come to mind immediately. They come from very different backgrounds, but their importance to our team is beyond question.
Candidate to SVP
Todd Phillips joined Orion Talent back in 2005 directly out of the Army, where he served as a captain. "I was actually an Orion candidate!" he says, "I interviewed and was hired for a recruiter role. I've been with Orion for 17 amazing years now." Todd began his career at Orion as a Midwest Military 0!3!)!! moved to Midwest Recruiting Manager before becoming Vice President for Military Programs and then SVP for Military Delivery. Today he is SVP of Search at Orion Talent, leading all of our recruiting initiatives. His military background provided him with the traits, drive and passion he needed for success. For me, the Army laid the perfect foundation," explains Todd. "In my current role, and for the past decade-plus, I've been in a leadership role of some sort," Todd says, "Leadership is all about team building, relationships, communication, setting expectations and holding people accountable - all things I learned in the Army."
