Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 Recognized in New Monument
On March 16, 1962, Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 was on a secret mission, but disappeared. On board, were 93 U.S. Army soldiers and 11 civilian crew members. Due to circumstances around the mission, the names of those on the mission were never added to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, but in May of this year, those lost in the mission are finally being recognized. Wreaths Across America introduced a new monument that pays tribute to all 104 members on the flight in Columbia Falls, Maine. It's made entirely of granite and stands 8 feet tall, 9.5 feet wide and 4 feet deep at its base.
